A SHEFFIELD woman has won almost £15,000 in a national bingo game - after playing for 28 years. The 46-year-old, who wishes to remain anonymous, scooped the big money prize at Mecca Bingo in Flat Street.

She completed a full house in 39 balls, the lowest call in any of the 470 clubs participating.

A regular bingo player since she was old enough at 18, she said: "I couldn't believe it when they announced how much I had won and I still can't. I never thought I'd win the national."

She plans to take her partner and sons on a holiday in the sun.
